Darius Gill has been promoted to managing director of the Foundation & Institutional Advisors group at Northern Trust.
Foundation & Institutional Advisors is an investment advisory and asset servicing group focused on middle-market non-profit institutions such as foundations, endowments, schools and healthcare organisations. It service states including Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri and Wisconsin.
Gill will oversee the growth of the business, which currently serves more than 160 clients with assets under management of approximately $5 billion.
Gill joined Northern Trust in 2007, most recently serving as a senior investment officer in the Foundation & Institutional Advisors group, managing a team of portfolio managers.
He will be based at Northern Trust's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
